Installation Requirements

Step-by-step guide to installing Comptite’s Composeal 40 mil PVC shower pan liner:
  1. Prepare the Subfloor: Ensure your subfloor is clean, smooth, and free from any debris. Repair any cracks or uneven areas.
  2. Measure and Cut: Roll out the Composeal PVC liner and measure it to fit the dimensions of your shower pan, leaving a 2-inch overlap on all sides.
  3. Cut the Liner: Use sharp scissors or a utility knife to cut the liner to size, following your measurements precisely.
  4. Test Fit: Before adhering the liner, test fit the liner in the shower pan to ensure it fits properly and lays flat without any wrinkles or folds.
  5. Apply Adhesive: Apply a compatible adhesive to the subfloor using a trowel, ensuring even coverage.
  6. Install the Liner: Carefully place the Composeal PVC liner into the shower pan, starting from one end and working your way to the other, pressing down firmly to ensure good adhesion.
  7. Smooth Out Wrinkles: Smooth out any wrinkles or air bubbles with a roller or your hands, starting from the center and working outward.
  8. Secure the Liner: Secure the liner around the perimeter of the shower pan using staples or nails, making sure to keep the 2-inch overlap intact.
  9. Seal Seams and Corners: Seal any seams or corners with compatible seam tape, ensuring a watertight seal.
  10. Install Drain Assembly: Cut a hole in the liner for the drain assembly and install it according to manufacturer instructions, ensuring a tight seal.
