Installation Requirements

Let’s walk through installing your Compotite EPS shower curb:

1. Ensure the shower area is clean and free from debris. Measure and mark the desired location for the curb, ensuring its level and properly positioned.
2. If your curb requires trimming to fit a specific space, use a saw appropriate for EPS foam to carefully cut it to size. Double-check the fit before proceeding.
3. Apply a suitable adhesive or mortar to the underside of the curb, ensuring full coverage. Press the curb firmly into place, ensuring it’s level and properly aligned.
4. Allow the adhesive or mortar to set according to manufacturer instructions. Once set, ensure the curb is securely anchored to the shower floor and walls.
5. Once the curb is securely in place, proceed with waterproofing and tiling the shower floor, ensuring seamless integration with the curb surface.
6. After the tiles are set, grout the joints around the curb surface, wiping away any excess grout for a clean finish.
7. Consider applying a waterproof sealant to the grout lines and curb surface for added protection against moisture penetration.
8. Allow the sealant to dry completely before using the shower.
